PLÖTZE.N˚17 in the picturesque Old Town of Limburg is a half-timbered house from the 14th century which has been restored with great attention to detail. Now the half-timbered façade which was hidden under gray plaster for decades shines in its full beauty once again. The building has been carefully redeveloped for modern use and comprises a deli and wine shop as well as three apartments. Two of them are rented as holiday homes.
The attic apartment is spread over two floors. The living area with a small kitchen and dining area and a bathroom are located on the lower level. A staircase – with integrated bookcase – leads to the sleeping area under the gable. The apartment is characterized by the exposed timber beams, light-dark contrasts and a classic-contemporary décor. The smaller apartment on the second floor has a different appearance. The rooms (living room with kitchenette and dining area and a bedroom) are furnished in a retro style and decorated in muted tones. A nice detail is the series of historic box-type windows with leaded glass in the dining area.
