Refugio Laudegg

Refugio Laudegg

Modern architecture at the foot of an old castle: with its contemporary design, Refugio Laudegg forms a stunning contrast to its neighbour from the 12th Century. The building is inspired by stables that once stood below the castle. By virtue of its form with several vertically displaced units and the use of local materials, it blends in harmoniously with its surroundings. Inside nothing distracts from the views to the Tyrolean mountains: Rooms and suites have broad glass fronts and are furnished with specially made plain furniture. The wooden walls and ceilings provide a warmth within this pleasing minimalist approach.

There is an in-house sauna for the guests. Breakfast and dinner are served in the neighbouring Rauthof. The traditional restaurant is part of the Refugio Laudegg and is known for good, down-to-earth Tyrolean cuisine.

What to do

Refugio Laudegg is a good starting point for sporting activities in the region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis: hiking in summer and skiing in the huge ski area in winter.

Why we like this house

Straightforward, honest architecture, which forms a harmonious ensemble with the old castle.

This house is great for

Lovers of linear architecture, mountains and good Tyrolean cuisine.
