The Alpenlofts (alp lofts) in Bad Gastein are a project of Evelyn and Ike Ikrath. With their hotels Haus Hirt and Miramonte the hotel manager and the architect have already created hideaways in which guests feel like visiting friends. The holiday homes take up this successful concept and offer guests a temporary home in five loft-like lodges. The Alpenlofts are nestled into the hillside and open up with large windows to the Bad Gastein mountains. The houses are made of natural materials like untreated larch, white oiled spruce and natural stone. From the outside the houses look alike, but each has an individual interior: with colourful accents, reduced and straight-line or rather dignified. However, they all have one thing in common: an extraordinary, cosmopolitan atmosphere where modern design meets local crafts. And all of them offer a spectacular panoramic view of the valley and the Alps.
The Alpenlofts adapt to different space requirements: They extend over two levels, which can be rented together or separately. The main apartment is located on the upper floor. On the lower floor there are additional bedrooms and in some lofts also a second kitchen or a sauna.
What to do
Winter sports, hiking, thermal springs Bad Gastein, mountain lakes, Yoga.
Why we like this house
The lofts combine retreat and magnificent view. Since the five houses are all designed differently and adapt to different space requirements, there is a suitable accommodation for (almost) every taste and every constellation.
This house is great for
Families, small groups, mountain lovers
