At an altitude of 1,113 metres above sea level, in the midst of the Hohe Tauern mountains near the village of Piesendorf, this house rises above the everyday. The air is rich with the scent of pine forests. And in its peaceful, unspoilt natural surroundings, this house is simple and yet luxurious. Munich architect Andreas Mack has used natural materials and warm colours to create an idyllic nest – “a home for sun worshippers”.
The two apartments have spacious, open and light-flooded rooms with fireplaces providing natural warmth. The perfectly equipped kitchens will delight every hobby chef. The 47 sqm “sparrow’s nest” on the ground floor has its own patio. In the 73 sqm “swallow’s nest” the complete south side is glazed, so that the most beautiful views are offered everywhere – even from the free-standing bathtub in the sleeping area you can enjoy the mountain panorama. A sauna is available for guests of both apartments.
