First built in 1485, the Türalihus has been extended multiple times over the centuries – with annexes, additional levels, and the stairwell from which the house derives its name. The house stood empty from 1941 until 2007, when the Swiss “Vacations in a Listed Building” Foundation acquired it from the son of the well-known Swiss architect Rudolf Olgiati and transformed it into the holiday home it is today.

La Tour Sarrazine

La Tour Sarrazine in the village of Montaren near the southern French renaissance town of Uzès is a medieval tower dating to the 12th century. The building was restored over the course of five years and transformed into a unique B&B, in which combining authenticity and comfort was of the highest priority. New elements are clearly recognisable as such, but have been designed in a neutral mode that doesn’t steal the limelight from the historic building itself.
