Weinloft II

The south of the Austrian Burgenland is famous for its traditional Kellerstöckl, the old wine cellars of local winegrowers. Weinloft II is a modern interpretation of these small houses, mostly built into the hillside. The 40 m2 house is situated in the middle of a vineyard and opens out with a glass front over two levels to views of the Pannonian lowlands.

Casa Sabir

Casa Sabir is located on the market square of the small island of Ortigia – the historic centre of the Sicilian city of Syracuse. Ustria Steila

Renowned Swiss architect Gion A. Caminada from Graubünden has built a house on a sunny slope in the centre of the village of Siat in the Surselva region. Mas le Clos Souris

Turmhaus Tirol

Situated in the Tyrolean Alps, Turmhaus Tirol is built into the gradient of a steep mountain slope and reaches up six floors into the sky. The lower three floors are dug into the slope itself and form the concrete foundation for the wooden structure. Flamed larch boards of different widths, some of which overlap, give structure and character to the façade. The windows, arranged according to functions of each room, also liven up the reduced design of the building, with its wide cantilevered saddle roof.
