Fischerhaus an der Schlei

The historic fisherman’s house is situated in a secluded courtyard very close to the harbor and the old town of Kappeln. The house has been lovingly restored by the renowned architectural firm “Sunder-Plassmann Architekten”. Modern details such as glass-enclosed dormers have been added. However, the charm of the old still lives on as historical elements like the old staircase and some rustic ceiling beams have been preserved. The living rooms and bedrooms have new bleached plank floors. If the weather is nice the small seating area at the front door with view to the water is the most beautiful place for the first cup of coffee of the day.

What to do

The Baltic Sea is 5 km away, sailing, surfing, beautiful bike paths,
many historic manor houses in the surrounding area.

Why we like this house

Careful restoration with coherent, modern details

Christa Schaffner says:

Es war mein Elternhaus bis 1960. Die Lage ist einmalig. Vom Fenster aus kann man die Schlei sehen und die neue Brücke.
