Historic winery houses lined up to a length of almost 800 meters characterise the beautiful Theresienstrasse in the southern Palatinate town Rhodt. Amongst them is an old mansion from 1897 that now serves – restored to its former glory – as a guest house. The three individual apartments feature local themes: Apartment König Ludwig has a pompous and baroque style where antiques meet modern design. Apartment Blütenfest – named after the local wine festival – is romantic and playful. Nature inspired apartment Pfälzer Wald (Palatinate Forest) features straight light wood furniture, trees and a bedroom with forest flair. From the cosy lounge area you can enjoy the view to Hambach Castle and the Theresienstrasse.
The on-site Café Ludwig 1 serves breakfast, coffee specialties and home-baked cakes.
What to do
Rhodt is located directly on the edge of the forest with many hiking trails and views of the Rhine valley. The Wine Route with wine festivals and many cultural events is a popular destination. Attractions in the area are the Villa Ludwigshöhe with various exhibitions, the Rietburg, which can be reached by a nostalgic chairlift, or the Hambach Castle.
