“Glück in Sicht (Luck and Happiness in Sight) Ostseelodges” is a holiday resort in Glücksburg, northern Germany. The 26 wooden houses stand on stilts on the hilly, park-like property which extends between the coast and the forest. The lodges are arranged in such a way that they benefit from expansive views of the water on one side or of the deep forest with ancient trees on the other. With their dark wooden façades, they blend in harmoniously with their surroundings. Inside, the lodges feature bright colours and a modern Scandinavian interior design. There are three different types of houses: The “Kleine Perle” (Little Pearl) offers 48 square meters for two people. The 155 square meter “Großes Glück” (Great Luck and Happiness) has 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed and alcoves with a bunk bed, and has space enough for four adults and four children. The lodges in the category “Hoch Hinaus” (Up and Away) can accommodate up to ten people (6 adults and 4 kids) with their 200 square meters. As well as a terrace, each lodge has its own wicker beach chair down on the natural beach.
What to do
Saunas (in “Großes Glück” and Hoch Hinaus”), water sports (sailing, windsurfing / kiting, swimming, pedal boats, stand up paddling), sightseeing flights with a water plane, hiking, cycling / racing, golf, mini-golf, horseback riding, the city of Glücksburg with its castle, Flensburg, Sonderburg, Hamburg, the Viking settlement of Haithabu etc.
Why we like this house
The water or the forest? Relaxing or active holiday? You don’t have to decide - the Lodges offer both. Since the houses are so different, they will appeal to a variety of target groups.
This house is great for
Couples and especially for families. By combining different houses the resort is also great for two or more families travelling together or for when the grandparents come along.
