Guesthouse Gut Ziegelhof
Close to the Elbe, in the midst of pastures, fields and the wide open marshland, the three thatched gables of the historic estate Ziegelhof proudly reach for the North Sea sky. The Ziegelhof is one of the major historical Lower Saxony farms between the Elbe and Oste. The ensemble consisting of four buildings is under preservation order and has been completely restored in painstaking work for many years. In the former calf barn an exclusive holiday home has been created: a 110-square-meters, rustic hideaway with open studwork, ancient floorboards, fireplace, sauna, hot tub and a cosy alcove. The wide view over horse pastures and marshes rounds out the perfect holiday idyll!

Why we like this house
Stylish gem in a listed ensemble surrounded by nature.
Ziegelhof is run by Katharina and Jens: A girl who grew up in the Austrian Alps and a northern German guy who as a boy had a soft spot for half-timbered houses and thatched roofs. After several stops in Europe, Africa, Australia and the U.S. they were sure that Ziegelhof is their final destination!
While Katharina is a kinesiologist and specialized in stress management, Jens is a communications expert who is taking care of peoples and companies’ reputation.
Katharina and Jens want to maintain Ziegelhof Manor and share their enthusiasm for the buildings, history and the spectacular landscape of Nordkehdingen.
