The Imperial Art Hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Merano, directly opposite the magnificent Kurhaus. In the Art Nouveau house from 1899 there was first a well-known coffee house, later a trendy 70s restaurant and today it is an extraordinary art hotel.
The 12 art rooms – each a unique piece of art – were designed and realized by three renowned South Tyrolean artists in collaboration with the architect Harald Stuppner. They are all individual, elegant and have their very own charm: from purist and clean like White and Gold Crystal to playful and romantic like Bristal to trendy 70s style like Imperial. Two penthouse art rooms on the fourth floor each have a private terrace with heated whirlpool and panoramic views over the roofs of Merano. Another art room on the third floor has a whirlpool, another 9 rooms are artfully furnished with a balcony.
The attentive concierge service is just as individual as the rooms. The coffee house CofffeeArt on the ground floor is still a popular meeting place for locals and hotel guests: an extensive breakfast buffet, cakes and desserts are offered here.
