Within a few weeks and days, the everyday life of all of us has changed fundamentally, health is a top priority, and everything else must – without a doubt – adapt to it. Social contact and mobility have become true risk factors and our own private homes have become state-ordered retreat spaces. The current and necessary restrictions are drastic, their effects are fatal for many economic sectors.
The issues holiday and travel have slipped far down in the list of priorities, the tourism sector has reached a standstill in numerous places and many of our partners have had to close their accommodation facilities for an undefined period of time due to the current situation.
How does HOLIDAYARCHITECTURE deal with this situation of crisis? What is the sense and purpose of a travel portal in times of Corona? Well, some readers will think: “None.”
We decided – in unison – not to pause but to continue regularly, even if – for a while – under different premises:
Our portal presents wonderful places, architecture, people and their stories. We want to do this also and especially now. What we can’t offer our readers at the moment are holiday dreams that come true very soon. That is clear. But we can take you on an inspiring journey within your private four walls and maybe relieve your travel bug a little bit.
What we most certainly want to do for our partners is to maintain continuity and to handle this moment of uncertainty together and as a network. “Paths appear when you walk them”, said Erich Kästner.
Stay healthy! Warmly, the UA-TeamPlease also read our request: Switch booking dates instead of canceling!
