A long driveway leads you to La Gravette, a country house located on a hill overlooking the wide meadow landscape of the Dronne river basin and the nearby Renaissance castle of Le Mas de Montet. Built in the 18th century, this natural stone house exudes plenty of French country house charm – vine-clad walls, a strikingly picturesque pergola and cozy seating areas adding a unique flair. Inside, you will find surprisingly high rooms, the ceiling having been partly removed. There is a large living hall with a view up to the historical roof beam construction, a country kitchen with a dining area by the fireplace and a bedroom wing with four rooms across two floors. The decor is romantic without being kitschy, colorful works of art and carefully lovingly selected details providing the rooms with a very personal character. The house has a extensive garden with a 13 m long swimming pool, pool house and outdoor shower.
What to do
Hiking, cycling, canoeing / kayaking, golf, horse riding and tennis.
Why we like this house
The country house has the charm and the lightness of a French summer film.
