The author is sitting at her desk in Munich, in the beautiful Haidhausen district. The window looking out onto the street is wide open. The sun is shining, and the city is full of tourists. Actually, there’s no reason to want to go anywhere else. But with a little music and a hankering for even more sunshine, my thoughts begin to wander and come to rest in a different town among Alpine upland vines, and by the water’s edge. The fragrance of flowers and coffee wafts through the air. The views are lovely. Not long now, and away we go, throwing all cares to the wind:
