Maina

Exo Nyfi, an ancient village with typical local stone tower houses, is located in the east of the Mani – the central finger of the Peloponnese. Maina, a tower house dating from the 18th century, is perched on a hill with views over the countryside. The dilapidated building adjacent to a tower from the 16th century has been renovated and expanded by an annex. The aim of the design process was to preserve the original charm of the house with its old stone walls, rocks and partly cavernous spaces. The house which is built into the hillside extends over three levels. It is divided into two apartments (each offering space for 4 to 5 people), that can be rented either separately or together. The apartments have a loft-like setting with open, merging spaces and casual, minimal interiors. Each unit offers access to different terraces with views of the shimmering sea. The house also has a garden with olive groves, rocks and a cave.
