Meisterzimmer

The old cotton mill in Leipzig is a melting pot for creative professionals. Numerous studios, galleries, workshops, a cinema, several theatres and shops have taken over this large factory site, located four kilometers away from the city centre. As might be expected in this creative environment the Meisterzimmer apartments have a rather unconventional flair. In historic industrial architecture you can stay in  four spacious lofts with charming and extraordinary interiors. You still find many traces of the former use of the rooms, like the basins of the women’s washroom which was converted into a kitchen, old lockers or beds that can be pushed around on trolleys. The lofts offer a lot of free space, but also retreat possibilities through optically separated areas.

What to do

The Leipzig Cotton Spinning Mill is located just 4 km from the center (public transportation nearby). Almost all Leipziger galleries have their headquarters here, over 100 artists their studios. There are excellent, new bike paths along ancient canals and industrial tracks to the center.
A shopping center and the Karl Heine Canal (historical industrial channel) with cafés and boat rentals are located in the immediate vicinity.
