This historic townhouse in Garding on the Eiderstedt peninsula, Schleswig-Holstein once housed a shop for milk and lemonade. Transformed into a light-flooded holiday townhouse, not only the name but also the dominant white colour palette recalls its former use. Dating back to 1780 and located near the church in an old town lane, the house has been furnished with new interiors: a new house has been placed within old walls. Old and new relate harmoniously with each other. The result is a bright and cosy home with a light and relaxed atmosphere, a touch of nostalgia, regional references and striking visual axes. Natural materials, such as linen, wood and rattan, white wood and concrete floors with floor heating for bare feet, vintage furniture and designer classics define the open room concept.
On the ground floor you will find the living and dining area (with access to the sunny cottage courtyard) and the shaker style kitchen, which is open up to the gables. The bathroom with a rain shower and washing trough, large enough for a baby to bathe in, is also on this floor. On the top floor you enter the gallery area, which is furnished as a children’s room with two beds built one behind the other and selected vintage toys. Behind it, there is the bedroom that can be separated with sliding doors and is equipped with a hotel box spring bed.
