The name says it all: The Lisbon B&B myhomeinlisbon is not only the home of its owner Maria Ulecia, but also serves as a temporary home for her guests. The B&B is located in the Graça district of Lisbon, a quiet neighborhood close to the castle with beautiful views over the city. Maria has been running the B&B for many years, but it was closed for a long time during which it was radically redesigned. Behind the renovated old façade, a new, modern house has been built by the Spanish architects Abaton Arquitectura: characterized by a generous amount of concrete, open ground plans and a rear-facing front complete with large windows. The common areas – a living and dining room with garden access as well as a library – are on the ground floor. In the three floors above, there are nine different sized guest rooms, some facing the street, some with a view of the city. The interior design of vintage furniture, lovingly selected accessories and colorful textiles add warmth and serenity to the sober and modern atmosphere of the rooms that feature exposed concrete ceilings and floors made of natural stone. The tiles and wash basins in some of the bathrooms and the relief tiles on the east façade were made by Maria herself.

Why we like this house
A cool design with a warm-hearted atmosphere. You can see in almost every detail that the owner is a passionate hostess and knows from experience what guests need in order to feel comfortable.
