Nühus means new house. But this traditional wooden house, located on a sunny plateau at 1,636 meters in the Swiss Safiental, is more than 200 years old. The building’s use, on the other hand, is new: The semi detached property, built as a typical Walser Strickbau, has been converted into a B&B with six rooms. Now you can enjoy the original atmosphere of its rooms in contemporary comfort: modern bathrooms and comfortable beds blend in harmoniously with old wooden walls, rustic beams and antique furniture. In the living room which includes a fireplace, a large panoramic window offers beautiful mountain views. Meals are served in the cozy atmosphere of the guest room which features an old stone oven. In addition to the breakfast buffet, guests can choose a three-course dinner menu.
What to do
The wild-romantic Safiental is an ideal location for exploring the Rhine valley down to Chur, Domleschg or in the Surselva and Bünder Oberland. Within a few miles of Bruschgaleschg you will find many attractive destinations.
Hiking, Skiing, snowshoeing (snowshoes can be rented at Nühus)
