The Riva Lofts are located in a 19th century building complex on the Arno riverbank, just two kilometers from the center of Florence. These buildings once housed a small factory, artisans’ workshops and the architectural studio of Claudio Nardi. The latter then transformed the premises into a stylish Bed & Breakfast, which is now managed by his daughter. Each studio is different has its own unique character; historical elements such as impressively high ceilings, old roof beams and arched windows are combined with contemporary architectural details such as open staircases and kitchens also designed by Claudio Nardi. The interior design follows a muted colour-palette and includes a glamorous, urban mix of antiques, vintage and modern design pieces. The communal living room with its stone walls, cross vaults and a fireplace has a broad picture window overlooking the garden and white sandstone pool.
