In the Urban Treehouses you are surrounded by nature and a little closer to the sky, but not far from the urban life of the city of Berlin. The two unusual dwellings are located in a 650 sqm garden in a residential area on the edge of the Grunewald forest. Their shape resembles a tree: The wide trunk – paneled with wood – supplies the house with the necessary power and bears the tree crown, a 24 sqm lodge in solid wood. As a reference to the urban environment it features a sculptural metal facade. There is even a sauna in the trunk of one of the two tree houses.
At a height of four meters you will find everything you need: a combined bed and living room with a small kitchen, a bathroom and a roofed terrace. At eye level with the tree tops you can watch birds and squirrels and look through the dense greenery in the Berlin sky. The lakes Krumme Lanke and Schlachtensee are close by, but the bakery, restaurants or a beer garden are within walking distance as well.
But the privacy this house lets you enjoy doesn’t mean you’re cut off from civilization: you can reach Berlin’s city centre in 30-40 minutes with the public transport, or the Ku’damm and the exhibition centre in 15 minutes by car.
As friends of HOLIDAYARCHITECTURE, we would like to offer you exclusive access to the Urban Treehouses in Berlin.

What to do
In the trunk of one tree house there is a sauna with outdoor shower. The tree houses are located in an urban environment that borders directly on nature. You are very quickly in the center of Berlin with its cultural offerings, but also right in the nature (300 meters behind the house is the bathing lake Krumme Lanke, directly adjacent to the Schlachtensee).
Why we like this house
Experimental, nature-loving living on the edge of the metropolis of Berlin - an inspiring place that invites a change of perspective.
