Situated on a steep slope in the centre of Warth in Vorarlberg, Austria, this apartment house blends into the alpine landscape with self-assured simplicity. With its shingle facade it adapts to the townscape, while its crystalline form softens the rigor of the linear architecture and creates interesting visual accents. Timelessly elegant design can also be found inside the building. The staircase is concrete, but the apartments themselves are completely clad in local wood. Oak floors matched with walls and ceilings of white fir create a warm atmosphere, while the clear lines and minimal, sleek interior design ensures a modern look that is far cry from Alpine rusticity. The eight apartments are between 30 and 54 sqm, each offering space for two or four people. Some have an infrared cabin and all have views out over the mountain scenery.
If you stay here you can almst fall out of bed and onto the piste – skiing in and skiing out is the order of the day! The apartment house is close to the village´s gondola ski lift that takes people from the centre directly onto the pistes, or in summer up into the mountains for hikes.

Winter sports (Warth-Schröcken is known for its excellent, reliable snow and, together with the neighboring Arlberg resorts, is part of Austria's largest contiguous ski area), hiking (Tannenberg region, Arlberg region).

Modern alpine architecture near the slopes and village centre. On holiday in Warth you have a large ski area at your doorstep, but are nonetheless tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the skiing circus.
