Grass-green as the Upper Bavarian pastures and meadows are the colour accents in the apartments in the old servants’ quarters of a Chiemgau farmhouse. In addition to the three apartments in the old building two more apartments have been added in the annex. Like a modern barn the new building is attached to the existing house, visually separated by a narrow strip of glass. The outer wall of the old building is creatively integrated into the new building. Plaster facade and exposed concrete are eye-catchers in the two new apartments, each extending over two floors. Each of the five apartments is unique with surprising details such as sleep cubes, comfortable lounge corners or an entry through a bottom hatch in the roof loft “Heuboden“. The house is surrounded by a beautiful orchard on the outskirts of Bernau at the foot of the Kamp wall and is the ideal starting point for hikes. You reach the town centre in four minutes and also lake Chiemsee is only 30 minutes walk away.
