Die Maremma, der südliche Küstenstreifen der Toskana, ist von weiten Ebenen, sanften Hügeln und der Nähe zum Meer geprägt. Die Architektur des Maremma House nimmt Bezug auf diese Landschaft. Das Haus besteht aus drei Ebenen, die mit ihren horizontalen Linien die Umgebung widerspiegeln.
Der hochmoderne Bau steht daher keineswegs im Kontrast zur umliegenden Natur, vielmehr verschmilzt er mit ihr und es hat den Anschein, als wüchse das Untergeschoss aus dem Hang heraus. In der unteren, halb im Hang verborgenen Ebene befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und Technikräume. Die mit regionalem Tuffstein verkleidete Fassade erinnert an die jahrhundertealte Tradition des Bauens mit Vulkangestein. In der mittleren Ebene befinden sich der Wohn‑, Ess- und Kochbereich sowie eine Terrasse mit Pool. Die weiß verputzten Mauern nehmen Bezug auf typisch mediterrane Architektur. Von der Terrasse führt eine Stahltreppe auf die oberste Ebene und zu dem (auch über eine interne Treppe erreichbaren) Hauptschlafzimmer. Die Holzverkleidung dieser Etage, die Form des Hauses, Außentreppen sowie Messing- und Kupferdetails der Inneneinrichtung lassen Assoziationen an ein Schiff aufkommen. Von weitem kann man das Meer sogar sehen: Das Haus bietet eine Panoramasicht über die Hügel bis zum Tyrrhenischen Meer.

In the last week of July we (two families, seven adults) had the wonderful experience of staying at Maremma House. It was as close to perfect as a holiday can get!
The house itself is beautifully designed and everything has been thought of. All furniture compliments the design of the house perfectly. The sofa and beds were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms beautiful and spacious. The kitchen has all that one could want (including a milk frother!) and is nicely installed in the center of the house so that no one is being left out while cooking.
Yes and then there is the pool. It is quite long (16m, so one can actually swim in there) and appropriately deep. There is also a very shallow platform on which even babies could play in the water without the risk of drowning. The water is always fresh, not chlorined (maybe slightly salted) and is regularly cleaned by a professional poolkeeper. Because of the high temperatures (above 33 Celsius every day) we spent half of our holiday in there…
The hosts Andrea and Luca, father and son from Florence, are extremely friendly and provide a host of additional information about the area and suggestions for tours, shops, restaurants etc. etc.
Would I recommend this place? Of course, even more so, I would return there any minute without hesitation! 11 out of 10 stars!
A wonderful house for a family holiday. Excellent both outside — incredible pool, views, and a beautiful building — and inside — everything you need, comfortable, plus stunning art and interior finishes. The hosts were helpful and generous with their time and information about the locality, and all in all have created a truly incredible and special place. In addition, there were some toys our children could play with, plus a trampoline; the pool was crystal clear and the garden is very well kept. We hope to visit again!
We stayed at Maremma house with our two kids and had a really great time. The house itself is beautifully designed and the landscape and the views are just stunning. So if you are looking for a holiday in peace on the one hand but with lots of options for interesting places to visit on the other hand this is just the place to go to! Besides, the owners are absolutely friendly and helpful!
The Hilltop house is a gorgeous place. The architecture is beautiful, designed with a keen eye for detail, and stunning views, all the way to the sea. We loved the spacious garden, and the outdoor terrace next to the pool. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bedrooms are very large with luxury linnen. When it got colder outside we lit the well functioning fireplace in the living room creating a very cozy atmosphere. There’s a couple a very pretty small villages around, and lots of wineries worth visiting, all in all a very nice and quiet part of Tuscany. The hosts Luca and Andrea were truly amazing. When travel restrictions suddenly changed because of COVID they helped us figure out what travel documents we had to bring with us. It was a relieve to have such reliable hosts, and on top of that they also arranged two yoga mats to be available in the house, for our daily yoga exercise. We loved everything about the Hilltop house, and highly recommend it.
We had a wonderful week with the family at the Maremma House. We just hang around in the hammock, the deck chairs, the huge pool, enjoyed the sunset, the peacefulness and the little villages around. A wonderful place to relax.
Maremma House is magical! It shows the passion and love from the owners in every corner. When you arrive, you just feel like filling up the fridge and never want to leave the house again!! We were fascinated by the view — it can’t be better. Andrea and Luca are SUPER hosts. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. We will return one day.
Staying at the Maremma House was nothing short of amazing. The house had everything that you would want on your vacation and we really had a great time there. Luca and Andrea were really helpful and open to questions whenever we had them.
The owner Luca was very nice and very attentive from the beginning. That’s how you wish for a host! The house is simply uniquely beautiful, located in a magnificent location and very private. There were six of us and we enjoyed the week to the full. Luca was always there for questions and had great tips for restaurants or excursions. We’ll definitely be back — hopefully very soon. We had a very pleasant stay at the beautiful maremma house in september und we highly recommend to spend holidays there. Andrea cordially introduced us to the house and its facilities in detail, so we felt at home quickly. All you need for holidays you´ll find at this house, including a fine compact disk collection. Even the pool house with its bathroom can be inhabited by two persons, so you have a lot of space for up to eight adults. The owners und architects of this special house are very supportive, so don´t hesitate to contact them.
Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem grandiosen Rundumblick in die Landschaft der Maremma!
Wir haben zehn Tage Anfang September im Maremma House verbracht und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Schon die erste Kontaktaufnahme mit Andrea und Luca war sehr nett. Dort angekommen konnten wir uns durch Schwimmen im Pool, Relaxen in der absolut ruhigen Lage des Hauses, Wohlfühlen im gepflegten Haus und Erledigen der Einkäufe in Magliano und Pereta supergut erholen.
Das Maremma House beeindruckt durch seine außergewöhnliche Architektur und durch eine hochwertige Ausstattung!

A wonderful house! Stunning architecture! The best location for spending a good time with friends, relaxing, talking, cooking, swimming in a perfect pool.
