Team Britta Krämer
Britta coor­di­nates our com­munity, leads the edi­torial team for the book series and acts as a con­sultant at the inter­section of archi­tecture, hos­pi­tality and mar­keting.

Author Hanna Altermann
Hanna Altermann first studied art history and psy­chology, then com­mu­ni­cation sci­ences, and this unique com­bi­nation ulti­m­ately led her to the Bavarian Chamber of Archi­tects in Munich. There, she pro­motes sus­tainable building culture as part of her press and public rela­tions work. Tra­velling and writing are her pas­sions.

Author Tina Barankay
As a free­lance jour­nalist and con­sultant, Tina writes articles, pro­duces publi­ca­tions and develops com­mu­ni­cation stra­tegies in the fields of archi­tecture and design. She is curr­ently respon­sible for com­mu­ni­ca­tions, know­ledge transfer and History/Theory of Design at the Faculty of Design at Munich Uni­versity of Applied Sci­ences.

Author Hendrik Bohle
Hendrik is an architect and, tog­ether with the jour­nalist Jan Dimog, runs a digital magazine on building culture. On thelink.berlin, they have been sharing their dis­co­veries across Europe for years, focusing in par­ti­cular on the con­nec­tions between people and archi­tecture. When they are not tra­velling, they curate exhi­bi­tions or write books.

Author Anneke Bokern
Anneke studied art and archi­tec­tural history in Berlin and has lived in Ams­terdam since 2000. She writes for German and inter­na­tional spe­cialist publi­ca­tions and has pro­duced several archi­tec­tural gui­de­books. Through her company, architour, she orga­nises archi­tec­tural tours in the Net­her­lands and is a founding member of Guiding Archi­tects.

Author Gunnar Brand
His passion for fur­niture and archi­tecture, nature and good food is a perfect fit for us. Gunnar learned car­pentry and studied archi­tecture. He and his wife Sophie now combine both their fields of expertise: tog­ether they run Archi­tektur Com­pagnie and design fur­niture and pro­ducts for their own label, which has a showroom in Cologne.

Author Fre­derik Fischer
Fre­derik grew up in a village, spent his childhood in a small town and then set off to see the wider world. He studied media studies and eco­nomics in Europe and the USA, and co-founded start-ups in Berlin. Now, however, he is con­vinced that the most exciting visions for the future emerge in the pro­vinces. He is driving this forward through initia­tives such as Neu­landia.

Author Barbara Hallmann
Barbara studied in Weimar and Lyon and com­pleted a trai­neeship at ARD, one of Germany’s most renowned TV sta­tions. As she loves lan­guage at least as much as she loves archi­tecture, she has been writing about archi­tecture, urban planning and design since 2009. She lives in Germany and France – and enjoys letting stories find her whilst tra­velling.

Author Julia Hauch
Julia gra­duated from Munich Uni­versity with a degree in Theatre Studies, German Studies and Psy­chology, spe­cia­lising in mar­keting. She has worked in the fields of film dra­ma­turgy and press rela­tions, and writes as a free­lance jour­nalist for various maga­zines on archi­tecture, design and unique desti­na­tions. In between, she orga­nises cinema and cul­tural events.

Author Katharina Matzig
Katharina com­pleted her archi­tecture degree in Braun­schweig; she has been living in Munich since 1997 and is respon­sible for public rela­tions at the Bavarian Chamber of Archi­tects. Whenever she has time, she writes books and articles about archi­tecture. And when the urge becomes too strong, she is drawn out into the world.

Author Dr. Bri­gitte Schultz
Bri­gitte was for many years an editor at Bauwelt, later Editor-in-Chief of Deut­sches Archi­tek­ten­blatt. In her spare time, she is a pas­sionate tra­veller, pre­ferably in the off-season. She is par­ti­cu­larly drawn to lost places and little-known archi­tec­tural gems, though his­to­rical and modern mas­ter­pieces alike are always worth a detour in her eyes.

Author Chris­tiane Wei­demann
Chris­tiane studied lite­rature and eth­nology. She never visits the same place twice, and loves good archi­tecture and well-stocked books­helves. When she isn’t planning her next desti­nation, she writes books and articles on art, culture, archi­tecture and travel, either in Berlin or whilst on the move. Or she edits them.
