The „Altendorfer Vorwerk“ is located on a sunny plain above the Elbe valley in Saxon Switzerland. The impressive half-timbered building stands on historic ground: It was built on the walls of an ancient estate from the 12th century. Six individual apartments are housed in this over 200-year-old listed building. Traces of the history of the house can be found in great detail in the lovingly furnished apartments: old roof beams, wood panelling, vaulted ceilings and historic sandstone walls.
The large garden with views to the surrounding area offers enough space to relax and for many activities. Directly in front of the building, two popular hiking trails converge which lead you through the romantic landscape of Saxon Switzerland.
What to do
Hiking, climbing, cycling, swimming in the river Kirnitzsch or outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Visits to leisure and adventure parks, excursions to castles and palaces, day trips to the cities of Dresden, Meissen, Radebeul, Pirna, Bautzen.
