Professor Gernot Nalbach passed away peacefully on 7 November 2025, after a long and serious illness, surrounded by his family. The news of his death fills us with great sadness. An obituary.

We have received the German Design Award 2025 for our current book trilogy. At the award ceremony on 7 February 2025, Kathrin Schmuck \ Bucharchitektur and Ulrich Stefan Knoll accepted the award.

Our current book series was honored with the German Design Award 2025 as well as with the ICMA Gold Award 2024. The award-winning, three-piece set is available in our shop.

At the moment it is "raining" awards for our partner houses. For example, the flat house Tempel 74, La Chalette and DIE.VIER in Wieck have recently been awarded architectural prizes. Congratulations!

After the winter months in lockdown, the longing for a change of scenery is enormous. But the whole issue of travelling is still plagued by hurdles and question marks.

HOLIDAYARCHITECTURE launches its new website. Our new website leaves the grand appearance to our main actors — the HOLIDAYARCHITECTURE houses.

Even though the travelling public is still holding back due to the ongoing lockdown: We advise guests to become active now — because as soon as it is possible to offer accommodation again, there will be a veritable rush for high-quality holiday homes, just like in 2020. As a result, the only response will very soon be: “Sorry, fully booked!”
