La Grange au Muy

La Grange au Muy is situated between Cannes and Saint Tropez in the idyllic rural hinterland of the Cote d´Azur. In 1990, the Italian architect Claudio Silvestrin converted this 16th century building into a unique holiday home. Behind the old façade you will find spacious, modern rooms, which are lent their very special ambience by the light entering through the windows. The architect, known for his timeless buildings, all reduced to the essentials, has given the rooms an almost monastic character. This also fits in with the history of the building, which was last used as a barn, but was originally a hostel for monks and pilgrims.  Works of contemporary art can be found throughout, which are accentuated in the sparsely furnished rooms through their white walls and limestone floors.

On the ground floor you will find the living room and kitchen with a dining area and other separate rooms such as the office and TV room. The upper floor is divided into two areas, each of which is accessed via its own staircase: the master bedroom with a large bathroom and the guest wing with four bedrooms. The house is surrounded by a large property with a forest and river. In the garden there is an 18 x 4 metre swimming pool and various areas for dining and relaxing.

What to do

Beach and culture in St Tropez, Cannes, Aix-en-Provence (each within 40 minutes), excursions to mountain villages and wineries, the gorge of Verdon, Domaines de St Endréol (spa and 18-hole golf course).
