Ferienhaus Torre Piccola & Casa Benedetto in Apulien, Nardó / IT – Italy

Holiday home Torre Piccola & Casa Benedetto

Torre Piccola is a historic tower house with modern interiors in the old town of Nardo, Apulia. This heritage-listed tower has been converted into a holiday apartment, which expertly combines the historic substance of the building substance, an open spatial concept, and minimalist design. Two large skylights flood the loft-like high tower room with daylight. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a dining area with a fireplace, and a living area. A filigree staircase leads up to the sleeping gallery with a double bed. On this level you will also find a single bedroom with an historic vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. One more staircase up you reach the roof terrace, a grand outdoor living room which extends over two levels. Equipped with sun loungers, a dining area and a barbecue, it’s the perfect place to enjoy la dolce vita – both during the day and in the evening.

Casa Benedetto follows a similar design concept, with its beautifully essential design, quietly located in a historic townhouse in a small alley in the old town of Nardò – just 300 metres from the baroque Piazza Salandra. The apartment combines the authentic character of Apulia with simple, modern comfort.
The heart of the apartment is the open-plan kitchen with French windows overlooking the alleyway – ideal for breakfast with a view of the local hustle and bustle. An internal staircase leads to the spacious roof terrace – a sheltered retreat above the rooftops of the city, perfect for reading, relaxing or enjoying the mild summer evenings and soaking up the southern Italian atmosphere.
A separate bedroom with a double bed and a small, functionally designed bathroom make Casa Benedetto the ideal hideaway for two. Thanks to the well-equipped kitchen and nearby shopping facilities, everyday life here can be organised at your own pace.

Both houses are perfect for those who want to experience authentic Apulia – simple, quiet oases in the heart of a lively old town.

What to do

Nardo is a lively town with a baroque centre. You can also visit the towns of Lecce, Otrano, Gallipoli nearby – and the protected coastal area of Porto Selvaggio. The beaches are 5 km away and can be easily reached by car, Vespa or bicycle. The Salento region offers a variety of leisure activities, including swimming, sailing, golf, hiking, cycling, cultural treasures and a rich culinary scene, a great variety of wines and ancient olive groves.

Why we like this house

A harmonious blend of historical flair, modern architectural elements and lovingly selected furnishings. The roof top terraces are the highlight of both houses!

This house is great for

For couples and small families. Not suitable for small children. Also great for couples who are friends and like to travel together but want privacy in their own little house.

Highly recommended!

Anke Kolberg sagt:

Danke für diese schöne Zeit in Nardò.
Tolles individuelles Ferienhaus.

Susan sagt:

Wonderful and beautiful house. We really loved to stay in Nardo and especially the Torre Piccola. We highly recommend it and hope you can enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

A. Clus sagt:

Kommen gerne bald wieder!
