Villa Vals is situated on a mountain slope in the Swiss village of Vals – very close to the famous spa Therme 7123. The design idea of the Dutch architects was to completely integrate the villa into the landscape. The house is cut into the slope and has only one façade, which opens with large windows to the terrace and the mountains on the other side of the valley. Access is through an nearby wooden Graubünder stable, through an underground tunnel which runs straight through the mountainside.
There is space for 10 people on approx. 160 sqm of living space. The ground floor features a living room, the kitchen with dining table as well as a bedroom with bath en suite. On the first floor there are three more bedrooms, each with double beds (one of them has an additional bunk bed). The interior, which was designed by different Dutch designers, perfectly complements the extraordinary architecture of the house.
