Villa Vals

Villa Vals is situated on a mountain slope in the Swiss village of Vals – very close to the famous spa Therme 7123. The design idea of the Dutch architects was to completely integrate the villa into the landscape. The house is cut into the slope and has only one façade, which opens with large windows to the terrace and the mountains on the other side of the valley. Access is through an nearby wooden Bünder stable, through an underground tunnel which runs straight through the mountainside.

There is space for 10 people on approx. 160 sqm of living space. The ground floor features a living room, the kitchen with dining table as well as a bedroom with bath en suite. On the first floor there are three more bedrooms, each with double beds (one of them has an additional bunk bed). The interior, which was designed by different Dutch designers, perfectly complements the extraordinary architecture of the house.

Why we like this house

An extraordinary house that is urban and at the same time one with nature.

This house is great for

Great for groups or large families (not recommended for small children because of the stairs).

  1. Villa Vals is more than just a holiday home, it is a unique living-experience! Underground and still with a breathtaking panorama from every single room. Most spectacular: the bathtub with-a-view in one of the upper floor rooms! The interior shows a wonderful sense of humor and irony. The long table in the dining area: wow! Sitting in the hot tub on the terrace and admiring the snow-covered mountains: simply blissful!
