The Marche region is still relatively unknown – yet the Italian region is at least as attractive as Tuscany. In the 1950s, the travel writer Guido Piovene even described it as the “distillate of Italy”: with its gently rolling hills, original villages and historic towns and white beaches, you can find many of the things that make Italy so charming here.

Casa delle Marche is located in the hills above the Adriatic coast. Surrounded by a large garden, the old country house with its natural stone façade and white wooden shutters blends naturally into its surroundings. The old stonework is visible in many parts inside and harmonises with the very modern and minimalist interior. The white walls and ceilings, the simple stone floor, individual design pieces and large-format black and white photographs create an airy ambience, while a few pieces of antique wooden furniture create a nice mood.

The rooms flow seamlessly into one another: The living room with fireplace leads into the dining room with a large table and the modern kitchen with a large kitchen island. There are four bedrooms for a total of ten people, the rooms are minimalist and stylishly furnished. The modern bathroom is also bright and spacious – the base of the long washbasin made of old wood creates a connection to the old building.

The spacious garden offers plenty of room for shared activities or relaxing reading sessions. There is a covered area by the pool with several sun loungers, the lounge area offers shade surrounded by greenery and the large table on the terrace is ideal for socialising. The view over the hilly landscape makes you want to explore the surrounding area – whether in the neighbouring villages or in the coastal towns with their promenades and white beaches.
