Haus Greates

Apartment // Holiday home Haus Greates

Around 250 years have gone into the stone walls and wooden beams of Haus Greates in the Lechtal Nature Park. Situated in a small village surrounded by alpine scenery and turquoise mountain lakes.

Taking into account the old building fabric and room layout, the farm with the historical name Greates, which is typical for the region, has been sustainably revitalised in recent years, its surface layers removed at great efforts, the timber structure exposed and the stable and barn transformed into two holiday apartments.

The spacious Tennen (barn) accommodation extends over the former barn and offers space for up to eight people. The centrepiece is the former barn entrance, whose huge window floods the high room with cosy light. Where the hay used to be stored, today you will find relaxation in two double rooms and a four-bed room. The bathroom and the technical rooms for bikes and skis were installed in the old stables. Complemented by a modern, well-equipped kitchen. Cosy corners of retreat can be found everywhere, whether in the alcove next to the new staircase or in the parlour with tiled stove.

The smaller Loggia apartment on the first floor is suitable for four people. The centre is the built-in kitchen in the hallway, including a sofa and a hatch into the living room with dining area. The old brickwork, the gnarled beams and the extensive wood panelling create a cottage atmosphere. Accompanied by a wide view of the Alps. Since the apartments are connected to each other, the house can also be rented as a whole.

What to do

In summer: hiking to peaks, alpine pastures and huts, on adventure trails and themed paths, cycling, biking, climbing, swimming in the mountain lakes, kayaking and rafting, canyoning, various exhibitions for all ages.
In winter: Skiing at the Lechtal mountain railways or on the nearby Arlberg, ski tours, cross-country skiing, winter hiking or tobogganing.
