A dilapidated hunting lodge in the centre of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park in South Tyrol was replaced by a contemporary new building. The result is a minimalist building in which typical elements of the old house have been incorporated and further developed. The traditional log construction, for example, does without the usual bulky protruding corner joints. The lodge consists of two structures, the two-storey main house and a small guest house. The windows are a striking stylistic feature: on the upper floor, elongated, asymmetrically arranged viewing slits divide up the façade and lend the bedrooms a meditative atmosphere. On the ground floor, on the other hand, wide window fronts provide a view of the forest, pastures and mountains and bring nature into the house. If required, the windows can be closed with wooden sliding shutters.
The interior design is inspired by Alpine traditions, but interpreted in a modern way: The rooms are made entirely of wood, with clear lines and minimalist design dominating. The only flourishes are the chairs modelled on Tyrolean parlour chairs.

Unsere Familie hat gerade eine Woche in dieser wunderbaren Lodge verbracht. Die Architektur des Hauses ist absolut beeindruckend mit großen und kleinen Fenstern, die die Natur wie in einer Gemäldegalerie einrahmen. Absolute Top-Ausstattung in sämtlichen Bereichen (Küche, Beleuchtung, Dusche). Die holzbefeuerte Outdoor-Kitchen war an mehreren Abenden der Mittelpunkt des Geschehens. In der Umgebung sind tolle Wanderungen in den wunderschönen Dolomiten möglich.
Ein großes Lob, an Bauherren und Architecktenteam. Schön dass es in Südtirol ein neues Bewusstsei für unsere Wurzeln gibt die von Zweckmäßigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit geprägt sind.
