Peterhof

Peterhof

A village within a village. The Peterhof in Vorarlberg has always been a place of community. A home. With a long history and lots of memories, both from its owners in the fourth generation and the guests who return here time and time again. With its modern chalets, the old-established alpine inn on the Alpe Furx has been adding a new chapter since 2021 and a formal link to contemporary zeitgeist.
The ten chalets are spread out all around the main building amidst the meadows of flowers. Each of them has an individual panoramic view and the utmost privacy. Simple, tasteful architecture in an Alpine landscape that stretches from contemplative to imposing. That wood plays an essential role here is already clear at the sight of the larch wood shingles that completely cover all units. The interiors made of silver fir perpetuate the natural atmosphere. In addition, furniture made of light maple combined with black-stained ash and dark stone provide slight contrasts.

A place that gives a feeling of shelter and connects people and nature – both through the materials and the versatile views. Besides the large panorama windows on both floors, which look out towards the Rätikon, Alpstein and Rhine Valley, the skylight on the small gallery offers a piece of heaven on earth. While lying here, reading or daydreaming, you can watch the play of clouds or the twinkling of the stars.

The fact that many things are turned upside down in the new chalets is also proven by the bedroom on the ground floor, supplemented by a private sauna as well as an outdoor wooden tub. Upstairs, an open-plan living and dining area with kitchen and clay wood stove invites you to spend some cosy hours. And if you don’t feel like cooking, simply walk into the main building of the Peterhof and pamper yourself either in the restaurant, a spacious wooden room with an exciting roof construction, or on the huge sun terrace. There might even be an anecdote from yesteryear for dessert.

What to do

Familie D sagt:
