Just minutes from the beach on the Baltic Sea coast, Seehaus Ahrenshoop is situated in the middle of a spacious old garden in a quiet location within the Ahrenshoop artists’ colony. This reed-thatched house is brimming with charm: built in the 1950s, lovingly renovated and fitted out with interior design classics, enchanting yet unobtrusive – it simply invites you in to spend some time here. Its owners’ motto was: “Design a holiday house in a way that makes you want to live there yourself.” And that turned out to be a great success. Whether in the modern kitchen, the dining room with a fireplace and gallery, the reading room, the living area with access to the south-west facing terrace, or in the four bedrooms, each room in this 120 sqm house has been furnished with the utmost attention to detail.
What to do
The idyllic Bodden harbour is within walking distance, as are the many small Ahrenshoop shops and galleries with exhibitions, concerts, readings and art events. (Beach) walks, swimming, water sports, cycling, fishing.
Why we like this house
A house with a lot of charm and style, and the beach is just nearby. Seehaus Ahrenshoop is worth a trip in all seasons.
