The Artist Tarifa

The sky over Tarifa: The Artist Tarifa, a listed building, is as cosmopolitan as the city itself. A haven of tranquillity amidst the whitewashed, lively streets of the old town, its roof terrace offers views stretching all the way to the mountains of Morocco.
Lined by kilometres of sandy beaches, Tarifa is nestled between two nature parks and the worlds of two continents – a paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers and the stage of history.
The Artist Tarifa – once the birthplace and home of the painter Agustin Segura Iglesias – is one of the city’s cultural treasures. In 2022, the two-storey building was restored, including the original façade, where the old guard with marble helmet is still enthroned on the corner.
The five sleek double bedrooms, furnished with wood and wicker furniture, and the five corresponding bathrooms are spread over both floors. In between, a spacious glazed patio opens up in the centre of the house, reaching up to the roof.
From the centre of the house, a staircase leads to the first floor, which continues to the roof terrace. Up here, not only is the view of the white city spectacular, on top there is also a plunge pool with salt water.
