Apartment Villa Alvarium

Situated on a sunny hillside above the tranquil South Tyrolean town of Merano, the modernist Villa Alvarium offers sweeping pan­o­ramic views of the sur­rounding moun­tains and valleys. The land­scape here is cha­rac­te­rised by a charming mixture of rugged moun­tains, tranquil vineyards and Medi­ter­ranean flair.

Located on the garden level, the flat can accom­modate up to six people and con­sists of two bed­rooms, each with a large bathroom. There is an addi­tional sleeping option on a sofa bed in the living area, which can be sepa­rated by a screen. The open-plan, modern room with kitchen island and lounge area is con­nected to the south and west-facing terrace by large glass fronts. Another flat above offers space for four people — the two bed­rooms are spread over the two levels. Both the fully glazed living area and the roof terrace in front offer views far beyond Merano. Both flats are modern and fur­nished with indi­vidual design classics. The exposed con­crete cei­lings and walnut parquet flo­oring create a loft-like atmo­sphere, while ochre-coloured window and wall recesses, colourful tex­tiles and modern works of art provide indi­vidual colour accents.

The par­tially covered sun ter­races can be used almost all year round — the climate is won­derfully mild except for a few months of the year. Sur­rounded by the diverse nature of South Tyrol, the villa offers a charming blend of sim­plicity and warmth, for those who love hiking and those seeking peace and quiet.

South Tyrol offers a wealth of excursion options at any time of year: Merano and Bolzano invite you to take a stroll through the city, you can go on wonderful hikes in the surrounding mountain landscape, the most beautiful botanical garden in Italy is not far away, there are several golf courses nearby, the Merano thermal baths provide relaxing hours and in autumn the wine festival and ‘Törggelen’ with South Tyrolean specialities attract visitors.
