Villa CP

Surrounded by cork oak forests, the Villa CP rests on a hill between the Catalan city of Girona and the Costa Brava. Original stone walls, modern architecture and sustainability meet in perfect harmony, set against breathtaking natural surroundings. Within the old farmhouse’s stone structure, which was preserved in accordance with local building regulations, you’ll find a contemporary designed home. Large window openings flood the rooms with light and allow stunning views out into nature. Corten steel is a central design feature: Used for doors and window frames, its clear edges and rusty surfaces form an exciting contrast to the rustic walls. The metal’s texture and finish creates a near poetic effect in the shape of the perforated door to the wet room and lends the staircase a sculptural effect. The bedrooms are located on the ground floor (where the farm animals were once housed), while the living rooms can be found on the first floor and offer the best views. As the house sits on a slope, you have direct access to the garden from the upper floor – and to its natural pool.

I found treasure! A rare event when a property exceeds the photographs that are used to promote it! A stunning villa in stunning location. Fantastic location for Girona and surrounding areas. Guy and team go to great lengths to ensure you have the best time – guides to great restaurants, things to do and even practical notes on how to get the best out of your stay. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great week at the villa. We really appreciated the design and layout of the villa and its fabulous setting. Great place just to sit, relax and read and take in the views and be serenaded by cuckoos and golden orioles. Near enough to Girona and local towns for excursions and within easy reach of the beaches. We would love to visit again

Great host, beautiful and clean house in a good location with a stunning view. Guy was quick and helpful. Provided us a Bluetooth speaker, helped to set up a fireplace. Also he had suggestions about events and restaurants. Definitely recommend.

We were lucky to be able to rent this one of a kind villa for a week. The design and details were beautiful and very well thought out. The view, pool, kitchen, bedrooms and common areas so easy to settle in to. Girona is one of our favorite cities too. Hope to be back and stay longer. Thank you Guy and Co it couldn’t have been better!

We have just returned from the most incredible week at Villa CP. There really was nothing to fault. To start with the location was incredible – the views out over the hills, the epic sunrises and the sheer sense of quiet and remoteness, was the best medicine after a mental year in London. Guy couldn’t have been more helpful, purchasing baby cots and high chairs for the babies, and the older kids (3 years) loved seeing the frogs in the swimming pool, lounging on the Fat Boys and attempting to play table football! The decor was beautiful, just to our taste, very simple and stylish, no faff. We’ve even taken a few pictures of things that we can implement back in our flat in London – some very clever storage solutions! The master suite was 10/10 – we’ve stayed in lots of nice hotels, but I think this was the best ever! especially the bath, which we got all 4 kids in and the outdoor shower! This is the perfect place to have a stylish, relaxing holiday, despite having very young children. The local beaches were fab, and the kids even had their first Michellin star experience (spoilt rotten!) Thank you Guy – we’re 100% coming again next year! We went mid September and the weather was perfect for the babies (3 months) I would highly recommend going at the beginning / end of the season with young children, otherwise the heat might be a little too much.

CP Villa is Amazing !
Villa CP is a truly wonderful house and the views are exceptional. The house is cool and spacious. The kitchen is well designed and fabulously easy to use. What could be better than foraging in the garden for tomatoes, figs, lemons and melons. A special thank you for that Guy – we really did love those figs! The natural swimming pool is lovely and there were often little frogs basking around its perimeter. We had four 18-20 year old boys who all totally loved the house. They enjoyed playing table tennis, swimming, marathaon monopoly sessions, and lots of eating and sleeping! They also enjoyed trips to the nearby water park, Girona (location of Game of Thrones Season 6!) and a night out in Barcelona.. There are some great beaches nearby and pretty villages. So plenty to do if you want to explore the area. The roads are bendy though so our outings were mainly during the day. A dream house. We can’t wait to go back.

Holy moly this place is perfect. Currently counting pennies in order to buy it away from Guy and Co. Where to begin: the view is glorious; the frog-filled infinity pool is the future (no shower before bed when you’re not swimming in chemicals); the made-for-the-movies Nancy Meyers kitchen (two sinks, every gadget you could dream of, a futuristic hob that was literally fun to use); geo-thermally cooled inside air; big, comfy beds and rainforest showers; a thoughtful website that completely reflects their thoughtful approach to living and attention to detail. It was also just great meeting Guy who made us dinner when we arrived about 4 hours late because of a flight delay, as well as answered all of my text questions within seconds. When I confused our departure date he even invited us to spend the night in his Barcelona home. Only fault I can find is that their place is so nice I’ve been embarrassed to show any of the ten million pictures I took to friends for fear they will hate us. Thank you Guy and Co — can’t wait to do it all over again next summer.

Our group of adult family and friends enjoyed a glorious week at this gorgeous villa, tucked away in the hilltops of Santa Pellaia. The beds were super comfortable, and the tiled bathrooms were beautiful. The kitchen was large enough for all 8 of us to prepare meals of fresh fish, calamari and prawns from the local markets. (The BBQ was well-appreciated too.) And of course, the main draw for everyone on our hot hot hot August days was the natural lily-filtered pool! The house remained cool, due to the water-cooled flooring, and large fans. (The annex, with futon, while very private and lovely, didn’t cool off on these hot days.) The mountain bikes, foosball and ping pong tables, and pool gave us plenty to do (when we could rouse ourselves to do anything other than relax in the plentiful loungers and hammocks). Guy was very quick to respond to any issues or questions. We highly recommend Villa CP, and hope to return.
