The historic city of Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast features an Old Town with numerous buildings in the Venetian style. In the popular Diklo district – a former fishing village – the Villa Smague is located directly on the promenade by the Adriatic, with views over the open sea and the island of Ugljan. In addition to fantastic scenery, this classic villa offers guests plenty of space, with 210 sq m of living space and an 80 sqm terrace and balcony area. The rooms in this south-west-facing villa are awash with light and boast high-quality facilities. Children are welcome and with a changing table, baby monitor, high chair and staircase safety gate, the house is well equipped for the needs of young families.

Visit of the old town Zadar, trips to Šibenik (40 min), Split (1,5h), boat trips and diving tours in the Kornati islands (coral reefs), sailboat and motorboat rentals as well as courses, trip to the islands Hvar and Brac (from Split), visit of the Krka waterfalls, hikes through the Plitvice lakes and waterfalls, coastal tour by car or bicycle, trips to Dubrovnik (4h), to Opatija or Istria (approx. 3-3,5h), to the capital Zagreb (2,5h), wellness, yoga lessons and massages in the holiday home as well as a personal trainer can be organized on request.

Wunderschönes Haus, direkt am Wasser, alles wie beschrieben. Ein völlig entschleunigender Ort. Super ausgerüstete Küche und alles tiptop sauber. Wir haben nichts vermisst (bis vielleicht auf einen Grill). Der nächste Laden ist ca. 25min. zu Fuss weg und nicht sehr gross, ein Auto ist daher zu empfehlen. Die Gastgeberin war zudem super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Werden das Objekt auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und bei einer erneuten Kroatienreise wieder mieten.

We spent a week in this gorgeous house over the Summer of 2022. The location is simply perfect: from the front door to being in the ocean takes less than a minute (and what a beautiful ocean with the most crystal clear turquoise water!). You are also 15 minutes away from the center of Zadar.
The house itself is a gem – tastefully decorated and furnished with nothing lacking. The kitchen is a delight to use, the bedrooms are spacious (with mattresses you melt in). I have to compliment the owner who was a pleasure to deal with both during the booking as well as while we were there. Without a doubt one of the best weeks, we have spent in a holiday home.

Lage und Ausstattung der Villa Smague sind einfach nur großartig! Ein Traumhaus an einem traumhaften Ort. Dazu kommt eine überaus serviceorientierte, freundliche und jederzeit ansprechbare Eigentümerin, nicht zu vergessen Marija, die sich vor Ort um alles kümmert, wenn man Hilfe oder Unterstützung braucht. Wir haben Ende Mai 2022 eine wundervolle und erholsame Woche in der Villa Smague in Zadar verbringen dürfen. Vom ersten Moment der Kontaktaufnahme mit Frau Smague bis zur Abreise hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und die Betreuung war eindrucksvoll gut!
Vor allem für unsere beiden kleinen Kinder (2 und 4 Jahre) war der Aufenthalt in dem Haus mit direkter Nähe zum Wasser ein Paradies. Der Garten, das Haus, das Wetter und auch die Menschen sind beeindruckend und tragen in Ihrer ganz besonderen Art und Weise dazu bei, dass wir uns vollends erholen konnten.
Wir haben schon viele Reisen unternommen und dabei auch einige Häuser / Empfehlungen von “Urlaubsarchitektur” genutzt, aber dieser Urlaub war definitiv der beste den wir bisher hatten. Von ganzem Herzen vielen Dank für die wunderschönen Erinnerungen, die wir für immer in unserem Herzen tragen dürfen! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Immer das Meer vor Augen! Das ist Urlaub und perfekte Erholung in der Villa Smague. Wir verbrachten dort Mitte September herrliche Tage, bei wunderschönem spätsommerlichen Wetter.
Die Lage des Hauses ist einzigartig. Nur ein paar Schritte durch das Gartentor und man kann im Meer schwimmen. Das Wasser ist sauber und klar und war im September angenehm temperiert. Das schöne Ambiente des Hauses, die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und die sehr gute Ausstattung lassen keine Wünsche offen.
Kurzum: ein fantastisches Haus um einen entspannten und erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen. Und weil es so schön war, haben wir unseren Aufenthalt ein paar Tage verlängert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
