A holiday in Rapunzel’s Tower: The more than 100-year-old tower, located on a forested hill in Waren at the Müritz, used to secure the water supply of the city. Now the cultural monument has become a unique holiday home with four apartments.
The 35 meter high, elaborately designed tower was restored as a monument. In designing its interior importance was placed on keeping the spatial impression of a round tower. Only for the bathrooms the architects have placed a small cube in each room. Even the old water tank was included in the design: Its underside is the ceiling of the third living-level. In the fourth living area, a narrow strip of the side walls of the former boiler is visible. The view from this apartment on the Müritz and the National Park makes up for the effort it takes to climb it.
