A holiday in Rapunzel’s Tower: The more than 100-year-old tower, located on a forested hill in Waren at the Müritz, used to secure the water supply of the city. Now the cultural monument has become a unique holiday home with four apartments. The 35 meter high, elaborately designed tower was restored as a monument. In designing its interior importance was placed on keeping the spatial impression of a round tower. Only for the bathrooms the architects have placed a small cube in each room. Even the old water tank was included in the design: Its underside is the ceiling of the third living-level. In the fourth living area, a narrow strip of the side walls of the former boiler is visible. The view from this apartment on the Müritz and the National Park makes up for the effort it takes to climb it.
The apartments on the first three levels each have a size of 30 sqm. The flat on the third level;is five metres high and features a sleeping gallery. The top flat extends over the fourth and fifth level with a total of about 70 sqm. The living area with kitchen is on the lower floor, three bedrooms and the bathroom are on the upper floor. All apartments have an outdoor area, either a terrace, balcony or circular gallery. The communal garden is open to everyone.
