Those who would not place the three concepts of recreation, rural life and late baroque under one roof will be proven wrong at DIRINGLO in Ohlstadt. Because the holiday appartments of the 400-year-old “Hauserhof” with mountain views of the Heimgarten and Herzogstand show how old and new can go hand in hand. Almost like a subtle journey back in time. Only the modern comfort reminds you that you are in the present and not in the past.
The DIRINGLO still conveys the atmosphere of its origin – from the historic roof structure to the old windows and doors, right down to the last detail. The traditional rural architecture was meticulously restored and only replaced where absolutely necessary. Even the furniture, such as the benches or the cosy tiled stove, is still original in part. The three holiday units not only bear characteristic old Bavarian names, but are also all somewhat unique. “Seffa” extends over three floors and, in addition to bedrooms and living rooms for a total of seven people, also offers space for meditation or relaxation under the historic wooden log floor. “Kathi” impresses with exposed quarry stone masonry and original wooden ceiling resting on old filigree steel supports, combined with modern design furniture, an open stamped concrete fireplace and beton Ciré. “Luggi”, on the other hand, presents itself with a steel gallery in the open roof truss as well as fully glazed side walls with wooden slats in the spacious living area. In the DIRINGLO, old building fabric such as the heritage-protected historic staircases and ceiling heights are in dialogue with modern elements, creating spaces that inspire and make their guests feel free to unfold.
