Casa Winther

Casa Winther is situated in a quiet, secluded position with panoramic views 15 km from the Umbrian city of Spoleto. The wide view of rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards can be enjoyed not only from the garden, the pool and the various terraces, but also from every single room. The cheerful atmosphere the renovated country house radiates from the outside, continues indoors. The rooms are designed in a modern country house style: natural stone walls, rustic wooden beam ceilings and terracotta floors are combined with design classics such as the Eames Chair, Butterfly Chair and modern lighting.

The centrepiece of the house is the kitchen, with a large cooking island and access to terraces on both sides. Half a level below is the dining room and half a level higher is the living room, with a TV and work space on the gallery level. On the ground floor as well as on the first floor there are six bedrooms for 12 people in total. Four additional guests can stay in the adjoining building. This apartment has two bedrooms and an eat-in kitchen.

What to do

The nearest village with bars, restaurants and shops is the Castel Ritaldi 4 km away. You can go on excursions to Spoleto. The village of Montefalco, where the wines Sagrantino and Rosso di Montefalco are produced, is also worth a visit. As are day trips to Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto and Rome.
