The former manor house Tigh na Coille is located above the legendary Loch Ness in the mystical landscape of the Scottish Highlands. The cottage with its natural stone façade follows a typical Scottish layout – with large communal rooms and smaller, private rooms. The old walls offer shelter and comfort, whether in the cold, magical winters or in the warmer seasons. Inside, despite the modernity, there is a touch of nostalgia.
The house can accommodate up to eight people. On the ground floor there is a light-flooded living room, a cosy dining room and a spacious kitchen. The friendly, bright living room with its open, framed fireplace offers beautiful views and a mixture of Scottish cosiness and Danish coolness: stucco ceilings, coffered windows, earthy tones and old paintings meet seating and tables in bright colours. The elegantly understated dining room has a large wooden table with room for all guests and shared moments to remember. There is an additional lounge with a fireplace on the upper floor. This is also where the four large bedrooms – named after the historic location: Scarlett, Marthe, Nymph and Orlando – as well as a shared bathroom and a shower room (a second one is located on the ground floor). Each of the rooms has its own character and all are decorated in subdued colours: Few, select furnishings, hand-printed wallpaper and harmoniously matching textiles create a peaceful atmosphere. All rooms offer either a beautiful view of Loch Ness, the garden with its old trees or the surrounding hills.
The garden also offers an unobstructed view of the landscape – whether from the terrace facing the loch with dining area and seating, from the large Green Egg barbecue or while playing on the vast lawn. After excursions to the numerous nearby historical sites, hikes or a swim in the lake, you can end the day here in peace and quiet.

The surrounding area offers numerous excursion options to historic towns. The cottage is within walking distance of the beautiful shores of Loch Ness, Clune Wood and the secluded Loch Ashi.
