Casa Morelli is set in a panoramic position on a hill in the municipality of Radda, the heart of the Chianti Classico. This typical Tuscan country house has been restored and converted into a holiday home that combines an historical, rustic ambience with urban elegance. Master craftsmanship, select furnishings and a view of the landscape’s rolling hills define the unique character of this house.
Casa Morelli comprises two connected houses: in the one-storey building you will find the central living room with a dining area, an open kitchen and a study (with sleeping options). The huge panoramic window in the living area can be slid completely open such that the interior and exterior spaces merge. This impression is reinforced by the seamlessly laid floor covering of anthracite-coloured Cotto stone – specially made for Casa Morelli. The open fireplace and the kitchen are also made of this material. The two-storey outbuilding, which dates back to the 15th century, houses a bedroom with an en suite bathroom on each floor. Antique oak flooring and travertine wall cladding, stone that also forms the round bathtub and washbasin, define the ambience in the master bedroom on the first floor.
The outdoor area features seating areas under shady pergolas, an outdoor kitchen and an infinity fountain. Above the house there is a pool, which is shared with the five neighbouring houses.
What to do
Wine tasting and trattorias, culture and art (Siena, Arezzo or Florence can be reached in less than an hour by car, day trips to Rome). Swimming in the pool, cycling, hiking and cooking.
