The Dune Seaside Getaway holiday home is situated directly behind the peaks of the Sprin­gert­duinen, a bio­di­versity-rich nature reserve at the wes­ternmost point of the South Holland pen­insula of Goeree-Over­flakkee. Far removed from urban scenery and back­ground noise, green woodpe­ckers and great spotted woodpe­ckers set the pace here; instead of cars, rabbits dart through the garden, or a couple of deer might pop by for an early morning coffee. Whether you stroll via a private access path straight to the 17-kilo­metre-long North Sea beach – one of the most beau­tiful in the Net­her­lands – or prefer to head to the Gre­ve­lin­genmeer, Europe’s largest salt­water lake, with your water sports equipment, is entirely up to you.

The small village of Ouddorp, with its cafés, restau­rants and bou­tiques, is also nearby.
With its archi­tecture focused on the essen­tials, the holiday home pays homage to the sim­plicity and tran­quillity of the dune land­scape – fea­turing simple, clean lines and a natu­rally ageing façade made of padauk wood. Large windows blur the boun­daries between indoors and out­doors. The rugged charm of the sur­roun­dings pro­vides an exciting con­trast to the white flo­oring and the mini­malist, Scan­di­navian-inspired design.

The spa­cious, single-storey layout accom­mo­dates four people, com­prising two double bed­rooms, a bathroom with shower, and an open-plan living and dining area with a pan­o­ramic kitchen and cooking island. Those returning wind-tossed and happy from a walk on the beach, kitesurfing or spotting grey seals can warm up by the fire­place or outside by the fire pit. The garden extends the living space into the open air and, with seating, sun loungers and an outdoor shower, invites you to enjoy the out­doors. In the evening, it is even magi­cally illu­mi­nated by the sunset and the light of the light­house.

Enjoying nature, walks and swimming at the beach (700 m away), numerous walking and cycling routes, various water sports on the Grevelingenmeer (1.5 km away), e.g. kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding or sailing, yoga classes on the beach, a visit to the Tij bird observatory or the ASeal seal sanctuary, indoor and outdoor games, golf, trips to Rotterdam and The Hague with the beautiful Voorlinden Museum (approx. 45 mins by car) or to the idyllic villages of Goedereede and Zierikzee, day trips to the wild and romantic nature island of Tiengemeten, numerous delicatessens, beach bars and restaurants
