Gutshaus (Manor) Lexow
This heritage listed manor house in the village of Lexow differs from other manors surrounding Mecklenburg Lake: It is relatively small and unadorned, and instead of a grand staircase and ornate facade you will find a rather simple and austere appearance. Its current owners rescued the building dating to 1874 from decay and lovingly restored it. The slate roof and casements were rebuilt true to their originals; most of the old facade was restored and supplemented by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. In the mansion are three spacious apartments with space for 4 to 8 people, which can also be rented together. Large kitchens, comfortable seating in front of the fireplace and romantic bedrooms: everything you need to enjoy time together in small or larger groups. The large apartments can also be used for team meetings or cooking events.
Two further smaller apartments for two people are located in the neighbouring “Alte Küchenhaus” (old kitchen house) and another large apartment for six people can be found in the Alte Stellmacherei (old wheelwright’s workshop), completed in 2017. This apartment has a lot of charm thanks to a dining and kitchen area which opens up onto the roof.
Double rooms are offered as bed & breakfast: one in the manor, four in the Alte Küchenhaus and three in the Alte Stellmacherei.
The Guthaus serves breakfast, snacks and dinner.
