Kalli thea means great view—and the Kallithea Villas keep what their name promises. The seven villas on a green slope in the south of the Pelion Peninsula afford magnificent views of the Aegean Sea, the bay and the idyllic fishing village of Platanias. Nestling between pine and olive trees, the ensemble of seven houses appears from the outside in traditional Pelion style with façades and roofs made of local stone. The interior design of the two-storey buildings is modern with a Nordic touch. Especially the living/dining area on the upper floor conveys a generous feeling of space: it extends up to the roof and features a see-through fireplace as a room divider. In the bedrooms, wide box-spring beds in extra length provide for restful nights.
Three villas are rented out as whole houses. They each have a large living area and a bedroom on the upper floor and three more bedrooms on the lower level. The other four villas are divided into two flats, which can be rented separately or together. The flats on the upper floor have two bedrooms and a kitchen-living room with fireplace; the flats downstairs comprise two bedrooms and a living area with a sofa bed as an additional sleeping accommodation.
All villas have several terraces with seating, loungers and barbecue. Four villas have their own saltwater pool; in addition, the complex has a community pool. Those who prefer swimming in the sea can walk to the beach in a few minutes.
What to do
The villas are situated in a quiet area, yet in close proximity to the village with restaurants, to shops and the beach. The region is known for its varied landscape with high mountains, steep coasts, lush vegetation, old mountain villages and a coastline with beautiful beaches. There are many recreational possibilities: swimming in the sea and the pool, hiking, stand-up paddling, kayaking, relaxation and deceleration, cooking, barbecues, cycling, visits to the villages, excursions by boat to the Sporades archipelago.
