Holidays in an old village school: The Kavaliershaus is located on the Finckener lake, one of more than a thousand lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The listed neo-classical mansion from the 18th Century has been lovingly restored and now accommodates guests in twelve individually designed suites. The simple, modern furnishings blend beautifully with the historic character of the building.
Here and there you find traces of its former use as a school, such as a school desk, an old school sign and gymnastics equipment, as well as the name of the restaurant Klassenzimmer (class room), where Slow Food cuisine is served. In the historic vaulted cellar there is a small wellness area with sauna and a wine cellar. A park with a lawn for sunbathing and playing, a children’s play house, fruit trees and a small beach with a boat pier belong to the building.
A romantic place which is just right for weddings and other festivities (an event barn is located on the premises).
