The Seehotel is situated in the middle of a nature reserve on the shore of the Neuklostersee, 15 kilometres from the Baltic Sea coast and the Hanseatic city of Wismar. In GDR times, the old brick farm house and the thatched timber-framed barn were used as LPG (agricultural cooperative) holiday homes. Remodeled and expanded over the years, the facility now serves as a hotel. One with a rural charm as even animals (cats, sheep and horses) live here. The rooms and suites are spread over various buildings. They are all individually designed with great attention to detail and some have spacious living and sleeping galleries. In addition, there are three 40 sqm holiday homes with a small kitchen, a terrace and their own small lawn.
Diverse cultural events take place in the Kunstscheune. The bathing barn, an ivy-covered building with a larch wood roof, and the adjoining wellness area with a larch wood facade will invite you in to relax. The bathing barn houses a swimming pool with an open fireplace as well as a wellness area with a sauna, sauna garden, and relaxation room. The wellness area offers space for cosmetic treatments and massages. The restaurant in the brick house with a lake terrace has been awarded the Bib Gourmand and prepares meals according to the Slow Food philosophy. Great fun for the little ones is the family hotel in a converted transformer tower – so many fascinating things are waiting to be discovered here.
